FENOBLAST Fenofibrate 160mg is used for treating primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia as an adjunct therapy to diet. It is highly effective in improving lipid profiles by reducing elevated total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), and triglyceride (TG) levels. This medication also works to increase the concentration of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), contributing to overall better cardiovascular health. It is also suitable for patients suffering from severe hypertriglyceridemia.

Side Effects

FENOBLAST Fenofibrate 160mg common side effects include: headache, back and stomach pain, nausea, constipation, and symptoms resembling a cold like a stuffy or runny nose. Although generally well-tolerated, more serious effects can involve temporary changes in liver and kidney function markers, requiring routine monitoring. Rarely, individuals may experience muscle-related issues, such as pain, tenderness, or weakness.

Directions and Dosage

• Dosage for Adults (18+ years) for High Cholesterol or Mixed Lipids: Initial dose is 120 mg to 160 mg once daily. The maximum daily dosage is 160 mg.
• Dosage for Adults (18+ years) for Severe High Triglycerides: Initial dose ranges from 40 mg to 120 mg per day. The maximum daily dosage is 160 mg.

Not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years old. Maximum treatment duration is determined by clinical condition.

Contraindications

This product should not be used if there is a known sensitivity to the active compound or its derivatives. Avoid use in the presence of existing active liver disease, severe kidney dysfunction, or pre-existing disease of the gallbladder. Use is also restricted for individuals currently breastfeeding.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Safety during pregnancy has not been established. Use during the period of lactation is not permitted.

Special Precautions

• Liver function should be tested periodically throughout the course of treatment.
• Use may be associated with the formation of deposits in the gallbladder.
• Patients should be alert to symptoms of muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness, especially if accompanied by dark-colored urine.
