Clopidogrel is a medicine that stops blood cells called platelets from sticking together and forming clots. This lowers the risk of clotting, which can cause serious issues like stroke, heart attack, or death in adults with hardened arteries.
You've been prescribed Clopidogrel to prevent blood clots and reduce the risk of severe events because:
- You have hardened arteries (atherosclerosis).
- You've had a heart attack, stroke, peripheral arterial disease, unstable angina, or myocardial infarction (heart attack) treated with a stent.
- You've had transient ischemic attacks (brief stroke symptoms) or mild ischemic strokes.
- You have atrial fibrillation and can't take oral anticoagulants (like vitamin K antagonists) due to their higher effectiveness compared to acetylsalicylic acid or combined Clopidogrel and acetylsalicylic acid, unless you have a low risk of major bleeding.
What are the side-effects of CLOGEOVIX Clopidogrel 75mg Tablet?
Just like with all medications, this medicine may cause side effects, although not everyone experiences them.
If you notice any of the following side effects while taking this medicine, it's important to contact your doctor immediately:
- Fever, signs of infection, or extreme tiredness, which could indicate a rare decrease in certain blood cells.

Recommended dose is one 75mg Clopidogrel tablet daily, to be taken orally with or without food, at the same time daily.
For severe chest pain (unstable angina or heart attack)
Initially prescribe dose is 300mg of Clopidogrel (4 tablets of 75mg) once. Afterward, the recommended daily dose is one 75mg tablet of Clopidogrel per day, as previously described.
For patientS with experienced Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) or a Mild Ischemic Stroke
Start treatment with 300mg of Clopidogrel (4 tablets of 75mg) once. Afterward, the recommended daily dose is one 75mg tablet of Clopidogrel per day, as described previously, along with acetylsalicylic acid for 3 weeks. Following this period, your doctor will prescribe either Clopidogrel alone or acetylsalicylic acid alone.
Do not administer to children.
