Indications / Uses

DIOSMED Diosmin Hesperidin is used for the management of symptoms related to venous circulation disorders, which often present as swollen legs, pain, and early morning restless legs. As a venotonic and vasculoprotector, it works by increasing the tone of the veins and the resistance of small blood vessels. It is also highly effective for the treatment of symptoms associated with an acute haemorrhoidal attack, providing relief for discomfort and swelling.

Side Effects

DIOSMED Diosmin Hesperidin common side effects include gastrointestinal issues such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and indigestion, though these are typically mild and do not require discontinuation of use. Less common effects involve the nervous system, which may manifest as headaches, dizziness, or a general feeling of discomfort. Additionally, skin reactions like itching, rash, or hives have been reported, and rarely, swelling of the face, eyelids, or lips may occur.

Directions and Dosage

• Dosage for Adults (18+ years) for Venous Insufficiency: 2 tablets daily.
• Dosage for Adults (18+ years) for Acute Hemorrhoidal Attack: 6 tablets daily for the first 4 days. Then, 4 tablets daily for the next 3 days.

This product is not recommended for children.

Contraindications

Individuals who have a known hypersensitivity or allergic reaction to any component of this venoactive agent should not take it.

Special Precautions

• For acute swelling in the anal area, use should be short-term. If the issue persists for more than 15 days, further assessment is necessary.
• For circulation issues, this product is most effective when combined with healthy lifestyle habits. This includes avoiding prolonged standing and excessive exposure to heat.
• Maintaining a healthy weight and engaging in walking or wearing supportive leg garments are recommended to improve circulation while taking this agent.

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

This agent may interact with several other orally taken products, particularly those metabolized by the liver. Concomitant use with certain anti-inflammatory drugs or cancer treatments may increase the concentration and risk of side effects of the other medicine.

How should I store it?

The product should be stored in a dry place at room temperature. Keep the container sealed to protect the tablets from excessive heat and moisture.
