Indications / Uses

EROXENE Erythromycin Eye Ointment is used for the treatment and prevention of bacterial eye infections. It is effective against conjunctivitis, blepharitis, and other ocular infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. This ointment can also be used prophylactically to prevent ophthalmia neonatorum in newborns and for preventing infections following minor eye procedures or injuries.

Side Effects

Directions and Dosage

  • Children and infants: Use under medical supervision. For ophthalmia neonatorum prevention: apply single application shortly after birth.

Maximum duration: Typically 7-10 days unless otherwise directed. Do not exceed recommended frequency without medical consultation.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to erythromycin or other macrolide antibiotics. Avoid use in patients with known allergic reactions to any component of the formulation.

Special Precautions
