Indications / Uses

CLOVIMED Co-Amoxiclav 457mg Suspension is used for treating various bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and otitis media. It is effective against a wide range of bacteria where the infection is caused by amoxicillin-resistant β-lactamase-producing organisms.

Side Effects

CLOVIMED Co-Amoxiclav 457mg Suspension common side effects include: diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and skin rashes. Some patients may experience indigestion, headache, or dizziness during treatment.

Directions and Dosage

  • Adults and children 12+ years: 5-10 ml every 8 hours depending on infection severity. Maximum daily dose: 30 ml.
  • Children 6-12 years: 5 ml every 8 hours. Maximum daily dose: 15 ml.
  • Children 2-6 years: 2.5-5 ml every 8 hours. Maximum daily dose: 15 ml.
  • Infants 3 months-2 years: 1.25-2.5 ml every 8 hours. Maximum daily dose: 7.5 ml.

Not recommended for infants under 3 months. Treatment duration: Usually 5-14 days depending on infection type.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to penicillins or beta-lactam antibiotics. History of hepatic impairment associated with this medication.

Special Precautions

  • Monitor liver function during prolonged therapy
  • May cause gastrointestinal disturbances
  • Complete the full prescribed course

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

May interact with anticoagulants and probenecid. Concurrent use with allopurinol may increase risk of skin rash.

How should I store it?

Store powder below 25°C. After reconstitution, keep refrigerated and use within 7 days.
