Indications / Uses

CLOVIMED Co-Amoxiclav 312.5mg Suspension is used for treating bacterial infections such as sinusitis, pneumonia, otitis media, skin infections, and urinary tract infections. It combines a penicillin antibiotic with a beta-lactamase inhibitor to effectively combat susceptible bacteria.

Directions and Dosage

  • Adults and children 12+ years: Dosage based on infection severity. Typical dose: 10-20mL every 8 hours. Maximum daily dose: 60mL
  • Children 1-12 years: 5-10mL every 8 hours based on weight and infection severity
  • Infants 2-12 months: 2.5-5mL every 8 hours based on weight

Not recommended for infants under 2 months. Treatment duration: Typically 5-14 days depending on infection type and severity.

Contraindications

History of hypersensitivity to penicillins or beta-lactam antibiotics. Patients with previous history of liver dysfunction or cholestatic jaundice associated with amoxicillin/clavulanate.

Special Precautions

  • Monitor for signs of allergic reactions
  • May cause gastrointestinal disturbances
  • Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment
  • Prolonged use may result in fungal or bacterial superinfection

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

Store unreconstituted powder at room temperature. After reconstitution, keep refrigerated and use within 7 days. Do not freeze.
