Special Precautions

  • Dosage adjustments are necessary in individuals with reduced kidney function to prevent drug accumulation and potential toxicity.

  • Monitoring of kidney and blood status is necessary, especially during high-dose or extended treatment periods.

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

Co-administration with potent diuretics or other anti-bacterial agents of the aminoglycoside class can increase the risk of kidney-related side effects, so monitoring kidney function is important. The effectiveness of certain vaccines (e.g., typhoid) may be reduced when administered concurrently.
