Indications / Uses

AUGMEED 312.5 Co-Amoxiclav 312.5mg Suspension is used for treating bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and otitis media. This antibiotic combination is effective against a wide range of bacteria causing these common infections.

AUGMEED 312.5 Co-Amoxiclav 312.5mg Suspension contains: Amoxicillin trihydrate 250mg + Clavulanic acid 62.5mg per 5mL

Side Effects

Directions and Dosage

• Adults and children 12+ years: 10-20mL every 8 hours depending on infection severity. Maximum daily dose: 60mL
• Children 1-12 years: 5-10mL every 8 hours based on weight and infection type
• Infants 2-12 months: 2.5-5mL every 8 hours based on weight

Not recommended for infants under 2 months. Treatment duration typically ranges from 5 to 14 days depending on infection response.

Contraindications

History of hypersensitivity to penicillins or other beta-lactam antibiotics. Patients with previous history of liver problems or jaundice associated with this medication combination.

Special Precautions

• Monitor for signs of allergic reactions during treatment
• May cause gastrointestinal disturbances; take with food
• Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment
• Prolonged use may lead to fungal or bacterial overgrowth

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

May interact with anticoagulants, probenecid, and oral contraceptives. Concurrent use with bacteriostatic antibiotics may reduce effectiveness.

How should I store it?

Store unreconstituted powder at room temperature. After mixing, keep refrigerated and use within 7 days. Do not freeze.
