Side Effects
PARAGESIC Paracetamol 250mg Rectal Suppository common side effects include: localized rectal irritation or discomfort, skin rashes, and hives. Directions and Dosage
- Kids 6–12 years: 1 to 2 suppositories (250mg - 500mg) every 4 to 6 hours. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours.
- Kids 1–5 years: 1 suppository (250mg) every 4 to 6 hours. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours.
Not recommended for children under 1 year unless specifically required. Maximum treatment duration: 5 days for pain or 3 days for fever. Do not exceed the specified frequency to avoid accumulation.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active component. Severe liver dysfunction or active hepatic disease. Recent history of rectal inflammation or bleeding.
Special Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with impaired renal or hepatic function.
- Ensure the patient is not taking other products containing the same active ingredient to avoid toxicity.
- Chronic malnutrition or dehydration may increase the risk of adverse liver effects.
Is it safe to take it with other medications?
