This product helps to reduce swelling, stiffness, and discomfort in joints and muscles, offering effective relief for both acute and chronic inflammatory conditions. Side Effects
ETIROX 90 Etoricoxib 90mg common side effects include gastrointestinal discomfort such as abdominal pain, heartburn, diarrhea, or indigestion. Fluid retention is common, often presenting as swelling in the legs or ankles (edema), alongside increased blood pressure (hypertension). Other frequently reported effects are headache, dizziness, fatigue, and flu-like illness. Directions and Dosage
- Dosage for Rheumatoid Arthritis and Ankylosing Spondylitis: 90 mg once daily. The minimum effective dose may be 60 mg once daily.
- Dosage for Postoperative Dental Surgery Pain: 90 mg once daily, limited to a maximum of 3 days treatment.
- Dosage for Acute Gouty Arthritis or Primary Dysmenorrhea: 120 mg once daily. Limited to a maximum of 8 days treatment.
- Dosage for Adults with Mild Liver Insufficiency (Child-Pugh score 5-6): Do not exceed 60 mg once daily.
Maximum daily dosage is 120 mg for short-term acute pain. Not recommended for children or adolescents under 16 years of age. Treatment should be the shortest duration possible, using the lowest effective dose.
Contraindications
This product is contraindicated in individuals with active bleeding or ulceration in the stomach or intestines. It must not be taken by those with a history of heart attack, stroke, bypass surgery, or uncontrolled high blood pressure. Avoid use if there is a known allergy to the active ingredient or to other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents, including those that inhibit cyclooxygenase-2.
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation
Use during pregnancy, especially the last trimester, is contraindicated. It is also not recommended while nursing.
