Directions and Dosage

Not recommended for children under 12 years of age. Maximum treatment duration: Should be limited to the shortest period necessary; do not use for more than 7 days unless specifically directed.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any component or opioids. Acute intoxication with alcohol, hypnotics, narcotics, or psychotropic drugs. Severe liver impairment, uncontrolled epilepsy, or concurrent use of MAO inhibitors. Not for use in patients with severe respiratory depression.
Special Precautions
- Potential for physical and psychological dependence or abuse.
- Risk of seizures, especially in those with a history of epilepsy or head injury.
- May cause significant respiratory depression if taken in excessive amounts.
- Caution in patients with impaired kidney or liver function.
Is it safe to take it with other medications?
Risk of serotonin syndrome when used with SSRIs or triptans. Avoid use with alcohol, MAOIs, or other central nervous system depressants as they may increase sedative effects and respiratory risks.
