Side Effects

Headache and swelling of the extremities (peripheral edema) are also frequently reported. Directions and Dosage
- Dosage for Adults (18+ years) with Acute Pain: The initial recommended dose is 400 mg taken once, followed by an optional 200 mg dose on the first day if necessary. For continued acute pain management, the dosage is 200 mg two times daily.
- Dosage for Adults (18+ years) with Chronic Joint Conditions: For conditions like rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis, the usual daily dose is 200 mg total, split into 100 mg two times daily, or 200 mg once daily.
- Dosage for Kids 2 years and older (Juvenile RA): The dosage is typically based on body weight, usually 100 mg to 200 mg taken two times per day.
The maximum recommended daily dosage for chronic conditions is 400 mg. Treatment duration should be kept as short as possible using the lowest effective dose.
Contraindications
Avoid use in individuals with known hypersensitivity to the compound, to any sulfonamide medications, or those who have had asthma, hives, or allergic reactions after taking other anti-inflammatory agents. It is prohibited for individuals with active gastrointestinal bleeding or ulceration, severe cardiac failure, or after undergoing coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery.
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation
Use of this compound should be strictly avoided from the beginning of the third trimester of gestation onward. Since the active substance is excreted in maternal milk, alternative feeding methods should be employed during the period of treatment.
