IRTAZEP Irbesartan 300mg is used for the management of high blood pressure, often referred to as essential hypertension, and may be used alone or in combination with other blood pressure-lowering agents. It is also specifically indicated to treat renal disease in individuals who have high blood pressure and concomitant Type 2 diabetes. This medication functions as an Angiotensin II Receptor Blocker (ARB), preventing the action of a naturally occurring substance that causes blood vessels to narrow. By blocking this action, it helps the blood vessels relax, thereby lowering blood pressure and offering protection against kidney function decline.
