AQUATABS Troclosene Sodium 67mg Effervescent Tablet 1's
Indications/Uses
Makes water safe for drinking, cleaning teeth, washing wounds, washing fruit and vegetables, and cleaning food preparation surfaces and utensils.
Safe water without boiling, easy to use and handy.
Dosage/Direction for Use
For Water Tanks and Storage System disinfection, a chlorine dose of 25 ppm is recommended with a contact time of 30 minutes. If the equipment is very dirty, particularly with organic contamination, 250 - 300 ppm available chlorine should be used for a period of 30 minutes.
For Well or Tubewell disinfection: Dissolve 10 Troclosene Sodium (Aquatabs) 8680 mg in 25 Liters of water.
Pour half the solution into the well. Operate the pump until the water pumped out distinctly smells of chlorine.
Stop pumping and add the rest of the solution to the well.
Wait one hour and pump again for several minutes.
Stop pumping and leave the wall for twelve hours.
At the end of this time pump to waste until there is no smell of chlorine.
For hand-dug well, a spring box or sill trap disinfection: Dissolve 15 Troclosene Sodium (Aquatabs) 8660 mg in 37.5 Liters (approximately 10 gallons) of water.
Thoroughly scrub the inside walls with the solution especially between the water level and highest point the water level may reach.
Pour the remainder of the solution into the well/box/trap.
In the case of a pump facility, follow last three procedures for the disinfection of well or tubewell.
Guidelines for Washing Fruit, Vegetables, etc.: 1. Dissolve 10 Troclosene Sodium (Aquatabs) tablet in water. A concentration of 20 ppm is recommended. See tabulated guideline (Table 2) as follows.
2. Leave for 30 minutes, then use to wash.
3. Rinse off with water solution containing 1 Aquatabs tablet. See tabulated guideline (Table 2) as follows.
4. Double the number of tablets if water is heavily contaminated.
