GLICLYDE Gliclazide 60mg is used for the management of high blood glucose levels in adults diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (non-insulin-dependent diabetes). This modified-release formulation works by stimulating the beta cells in the pancreas to produce and release more insulin into the bloodstream. It is generally initiated when adequate glucose control cannot be achieved solely through changes in diet, exercise, and weight reduction. This medicine can be taken alone or as an addition to other treatments for the condition.
