Indications / Uses

Efficascent Ointment is used for relieving muscle aches, joint pain, and stiffness associated with arthritis, sprains, or backaches. It helps alleviate discomfort from headaches and minor muscular injuries through topical application. This formulation provides warming relief for musculoskeletal conditions and improves local circulation in affected areas.

Formulation / Ingredients
Efficascent Ointment contains: Methyl salicylate + Menthol + Eucalyptus oil + Camphor.

Side Effects

Efficascent Ointment common side effects include skin irritation, redness, or burning sensation at application sites. Less frequently, it may cause allergic reactions such as rash, itching, or hives. These effects are typically mild but require discontinuation if severe reactions occur.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults and adolescents (12+ years): Apply a thin layer to affected area 3-4 times daily. Gently massage until fully absorbed. Maximum: 4 applications daily.
• Children 2-12 years: Apply small amount to affected area 2-3 times daily under adult supervision. Maximum: 3 applications daily.

Not recommended for children under 2 years. Avoid continuous use beyond 7 days without improvement. Do not apply to large body areas simultaneously or under tight bandages.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to salicylates or menthol-based products
• Damaged skin, open wounds, or mucous membranes

Special Precautions

• Avoid contact with eyes, nostrils, and sensitive areas
• Discontinue if excessive skin irritation develops
• Do not apply with heating pads or occlusive dressings

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

• No known systemic interactions with oral medications
• Avoid concurrent application with other topical analgesics

• Store below 30°C in original container
