Indications / Uses

CALADRYL Lotion is used for relieving skin irritation and itching caused by insect bites, minor burns, sunburn, poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac. It provides soothing relief for rashes and other minor skin conditions through its cooling and antihistamine effects. The formulation helps dry oozing and weeping from minor skin irritations while reducing discomfort.

CALADRYL Lotion contains: Calamine 80mg/g + Diphenhydramine HCl 8mg/g

Side Effects

CALADRYL Lotion common side effects include:

• Mild stinging or burning sensation at application site
• Skin dryness, redness, or irritation
• Drowsiness if absorbed systemically (rare with topical use)

Allergic reactions like rash or hives may occur in sensitive individuals. Discontinue use if severe irritation develops.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults and Adolescents (12+ years): Apply to affected area up to 3-4 times daily
• Children 2–12 years: Apply sparingly 1-3 times daily under adult supervision

Not recommended for children under 2 years. Maximum treatment duration: 7 days unless directed otherwise. Avoid application to large areas of skin.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to any ingredients
• Application to deep or puncture wounds
• Use on severely inflamed or infected skin areas

Special Precautions

• Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth, and genital areas
• Discontinue if condition worsens or persists beyond 7 days
• Do not apply to extensive skin areas or under tight bandages
