Indications/Uses
Prevention & treatment of infection in severe burns. Also used in other skin conditions eg, leg ulcers where infection may prevent healing & for the prophylaxis of infection in skin grafting.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply at least 2-3 mm thick directly to the wound or on a sterile gauze dressing. Reapply at least once every 24 hr after removal of the old cream.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, liver damage & oliguria. Pregnancy. Premature infants & neonates.
Special Precautions
Avoid exposure of treated body parts to sunlight.
Adverse Reactions
Leukopenia, skin rash.
