Mupirocin Ointment is used for the treatment of certain bacterial skin infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. It is important to use this medication only for the condition for which it was prescribed. This medication should not be used for viral or fungal infections. It is for external use only.
Side-effects
Mupirocin Ointment common side effects include burning, stinging, itching, or redness at the application site. These side effects are usually mild and temporary. If you experience severe or persistent irritation, discontinue use and seek guidance.
Dosage / Direction
Apply a thin film of Mupirocin Ointment to the affected area. Clean and dry the area before applying the ointment.
Adult: Apply to affected area 2-3 times daily for up to 10 days according to individual response.
Child: Same as adult dose.
Contraindications
Mupirocin Ointment should not be used if you are allergic to mupirocin or any of the other ingredients in the ointment. It is also not recommended for use on large areas of the body or on open wounds.
Special Precautions
Avoid contact with eyes, nose, and mouth. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Do not use occlusive dressings (bandages or wraps) unless directed.

Hindi dapat gamitin ang Mupirocin Ointment kung ikaw ay may allergy sa mupirocin o sa iba pang mga sangkap ng ointment. Hindi rin ito inirerekomenda para gamitin sa malalaking bahagi ng katawan o sa mga sugatang bahagi.
Espesyal na mga Pag-iingat
Iwasan ang pagdikit sa mata, ilong, at bibig. Kung mangyari ang pagdikit, banlawanng mabuti ng tubig. Huwag gumamit ng mga occlusive dressing (mga bendahe o pambalot) maliban kung itinuro.
