FERRICORE Iron is used for the treatment and prevention of iron-deficiency anemia. It helps address the condition characterized by low blood iron levels, which leads to a lack of healthy red blood cells. FERRICORE Iron contains: Ferrous Sulfate 325mg (equivalent to Elemental Iron 105.6mg)

Side Effects

FERRICORE Iron common side effects include gastrointestinal discomfort such as diarrhea, constipation, nausea, and stomach pain. Users may also notice green-colored stools or a temporary loss of appetite. These effects are usually mild, but if they persist or worsen, attention is needed.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults (18+ years): 1 tablet daily.
• Adolescents (12-17 years): 1 tablet daily.
• Pregnancy and Lactation: 1 tablet once or twice daily.
• Children (under 12 years): Dosage for children under 12 should be carefully determined based on body weight and iron deficiency severity. This product, containing 105.6mg elemental iron per tablet, may be too high for very young children unless specifically advised.

Do not exceed the daily recommended intake of elemental iron.

Contraindications

Avoid if experiencing iron overload conditions such as hemochromatosis or hemosiderosis. Contraindicated in individuals with certain blood disorders like hemolytic anemia or those receiving frequent blood transfusions. Also, avoid if there is active peptic ulcer, inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis. Avoid concurrent use with parenteral iron therapy or dimercaprol.
