Side Effects
VONWELT Calcium Carbonate 500mg common side effects include: gastrointestinal issues such as constipation, flatulence, nausea, and abdominal bloating. In some cases, prolonged use of high doses can lead to hypercalcemia, which is characterized by an excessive level of calcium in the blood, potentially causing more serious metabolic disturbances. Directions and Dosage
- Adults (18+ years): 1 tablet taken 1 to 3 times daily, preferably with meals to enhance absorption. Do not exceed 15 tablets in 24 hours when used as an antacid.
- Adolescents (12–18 years): 1 tablet taken 1 to 2 times daily. Do not exceed 10 tablets in 24 hours.
- Children 6–12 years: 1 tablet daily. Do not exceed 5 tablets in 24 hours.
Not recommended for children under 6 years of age. Maximum treatment duration for antacid use: 14 days. For bone health, the duration is based on long-term nutritional requirements.
Contraindications
Conditions associated with hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria, such as hyperparathyroidism or bone metastasis. It is also contraindicated for individuals with severe renal failure, kidney stones, or extreme dehydration.
Special Precautions
