AERO-VENT Salbutamol Nebule is used for relieving bronchospasm in asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other airway conditions. It works by relaxing airway muscles to improve breathing during acute attacks or preventive management.

AERO-VENT Salbutamol Nebule contains: Salbutamol sulfate 1mg/mL (2.5mL per nebule).

Side Effects

AERO-VENT Salbutamol Nebule common side effects include: tremors, rapid heartbeat, headache, and mild muscle cramps. Rarely, excessive use may cause hypokalemia or paradoxical bronchospasm.

Directions and Dosage

  • Adults and adolescents (12+ years): 2.5mL (1 nebule) via nebulizer every 4–6 hours. Max daily dose: 4 nebules.
  • Children (4–11 years: 1.25–2.5mL (½–1 nebule) every 4–6 hours. Max daily dose: 4 nebules.

Not recommended for children under 4. Treatment duration depends on symptom severity.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to salbutamol or sulfites. Avoid in uncontrolled hyperthyroidism or severe cardiac arrhythmias.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Use only if clearly needed. Monitor for maternal tachycardia or fetal distress.

Special Precautions

  • Use cautiously in patients with diabetes or cardiovascular disease.
  • Monitor potassium levels during prolonged use.

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

Avoid combining with beta-blockers (e.g., propranolol). Concurrent use with diuretics may increase hypokalemia risk.
