Indications / Uses

CIALIS Tadalafil 5mg is used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED), which helps in obtaining and maintaining a sufficient erection for sexual activity. It is also used to address the signs and symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men, often involving urinary problems like frequent or difficult urination. The once-daily regimen is appropriate for men who anticipate frequent use or who are also being treated for BPH symptoms.

Side Effects

CIALIS Tadalafil 5mg common side effects include headache, which is the most frequently reported reaction, and dyspepsia or indigestion. Other common effects may present as pain in the back, muscles, or limbs, and flushing (reddening of the face). Less common effects can include nasal congestion, dizziness, and gastroesophageal reflux. Although rare, a prolonged erection lasting more than 4 hours is a serious event that requires immediate medical attention to prevent irreversible tissue damage.

Directions and Dosage

• Dosage for Adults (18+ years) for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) and/or Erectile Dysfunction (ED) Daily Use: The recommended dose is 5 mg taken once a day, at approximately the same time each day, regardless of the timing of sexual activity. The dose may be reduced to 2.5 mg once daily based on individual needs and tolerability.
• Dosage for Adults (18+ years) for ED 'As Needed' Use: A dose of 10 mg is typically taken as a single dose, at least 30 minutes before anticipated activity. The maximum single dose is 20 mg. Do not take more than 1 dose in a 24-hour period.

Use is not recommended for children.

Contraindications

Do not use this product if you are taking any form of organic nitrate medication, as this combination can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. The product is also prohibited for use with guanylate cyclase (GC) stimulators. Avoid use if you have a known severe allergy to the active ingredient or any component of the tablet. Patients who have had a heart attack within the last 90 days, those with unstable chest pain, or those who experience chest pain during sexual activity should not use this.

Special Precautions

• Take special caution if you have a cardiovascular condition that makes sexual activity inadvisable, or if you have any pre-existing conditions that might predispose you to a prolonged or painful erection.
• Use with caution if you have significant impairment of liver or kidney function, as this may affect how the medicine is cleared from the body.
• Seek prompt medical attention if you experience sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes or a sudden decrease or loss of hearing.

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

The product is absolutely unsafe to take with nitrates or GC stimulators due to a severe risk of low blood pressure. Use with caution alongside alpha-blockers, as the combined blood-pressure-lowering effects may lead to symptomatic low blood pressure. Dosage adjustment is required if taken with potent inhibitors of CYP3A4 (a group of medications that affect drug metabolism).

How should I store it?

Store the tablets in the original packaging to protect them from moisture. Keep them at a temperature that does not exceed 30°C, and away from excessive heat.
