Indications
Used in the treatment of hypercholesterolemia or combined (mixed) hyperlipidemia in patients who have not responded adequately to diet, exercise, and lifestyle change to lower levels of blood fats (cholesterol and triglycerides).
Dosage
Usual initial dose: 10 mg or 20 mg once daily
Administration
Administer with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to atorvastatin or any component of the formulation. Refer to manufacturer labeling for further detail.
Common side-effects
Indigestion, Muscle pain, Constipation, Headache, Hyperglycemia
