This injectable medication mimics a natural hormone to regulate insulin secretion and appetite effectively.

Formulation / Ingredients

OZEMPIC Semaglutide 0.25mg contains: Semaglutide 1.34mg/ml + Disodium phosphate dihydrate + Propylene glycol + Phenol + Water for injections

Do I need prescription to buy OZEMPIC Semaglutide 0.25mg?

Yes, you need a prescription. But if you don't have one, you can get a free teleconsultation from MedsGo Physician. Just make an order and our Physician will call you back.

Side Effects

OZEMPIC Semaglutide 0.25mg common side effects include: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and constipation. Some individuals may also experience decreased appetite, dyspepsia, or fatigue. Most gastrointestinal symptoms are transient and often occur during the initial phase of treatment or when increasing the dose.

Directions and Dosage

  • Adults (18+ years): Start with 0.25 mg once weekly for 4 weeks. After 4 weeks, the dose should be increased to 0.5 mg once weekly. If additional glycemic control is needed after at least 4 weeks on a 0.5 mg dose, the dosage may be increased to 1 mg or 2 mg once weekly.

Not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Maximum treatment duration is determined by clinical response. Administer once weekly at any time of day, with or without meals.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation. Personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2.

Special Precautions

  • Monitor for signs of pancreatitis such as persistent, severe abdominal pain.
  • Patients with diabetic retinopathy should be monitored for complications during rapid improvements in glucose control.
  • Not a substitute for insulin and should not be used in patients with type 1 diabetes.

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

The rate of gastric emptying is delayed, which may impact the absorption of orally administered drugs. Caution is advised when used in combination with sulfonylureas or insulin due to increased hypoglycemia risk.

How should I store it?

Store in a refrigerator between 2°C to 8°C before first use. After opening, the pen can be kept for 56 days at room temperature below 30°C or in a refrigerator.
