Contraindications
The product is not suitable for individuals with acute heart failure or heart failure that is deteriorating and requiring intravenous treatment. It should also be avoided by those with cardiogenic shock, certain severe disturbances of atrioventricular conduction (second or third degree AV block), sick sinus syndrome, or sinoatrial block. Other conditions where use is contraindicated include symptomatic bradycardia (very slow heart rate), symptomatic hypotension (very low blood pressure), and severe bronchial asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Special Precautions
- Treatment discontinuation must be done gradually, as suddenly stopping the medication can worsen heart conditions and may lead to a rebound effect.
- Caution is advised in patients with bronchospasm (narrowing of the airways) as the product may increase airway resistance.
- The medication may mask the symptoms of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) in individuals, and it may also mask signs of an overactive thyroid gland.
- Special care is necessary in individuals with peripheral arterial occlusive disease or a history of psoriasis.
Is it safe to take it with other medications?
Use with other medications that lower blood pressure, such as certain calcium antagonists, may increase the risk of severe hypotension and a very slow heart rate. Co-administration with some antiarrhythmics can potentiate effects on atrio-ventricular conduction. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents (NSAIDs) may reduce the blood pressure-lowering effects.
How should I store it?
Store tablets at room temperature, away from direct heat, light, and moisture. Keep the product in its original packaging.
