Indications/Uses
For the treatment of mild to moderate hypertension. It is also indicated in hypertension not responding to monotherapy with calcium antagonists or angiotensin II receptor antagonists.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Initially 1 tab once daily. May be increased if BP control is inadequate after a week or 2.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Losartan plus Amlodipine is contraindicated in patients who are hypertensive to any component of this product.
Special Precautions
Symptomatic hypotension may occur after initiation on patients who are intravascularly vol-depleted (eg, treated w/ diuretics). Patients w/ severe obstructive CAD. Patients w/ heart failure. Electrolyte imbalances are common in patients w/ renal impairment (w/ or w/o diabetes). Severe renal disease & impaired hepatic function. May impair ability to drive & use machines. Pregnancy & lactation. Children.
