RANICLAV Co-Amoxiclav 625mg is used for the treatment of various bacterial infections in areas where bacteria may have developed resistance to amoxicillin alone. This combined antibiotic is effective against upper and lower respiratory tract infections, such as sinusitis, pneumonia, and otitis media. It is also indicated for genitourinary tract and abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue issues, and bone and joint infections, including severe dental infections with spreading cellulitis.

Side Effects
RANICLAV Co-Amoxiclav 625mg common side effects include gastrointestinal issues such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, which are typically mild and transient. Directions and Dosage
- Adults (18+ years): 1 tablet (625 mg) every 8 hours for severe infections. For mild to moderate infections, the dosage is 1 tablet (625 mg) every 12 hours.
- Adolescents (12-18 years, minimum 40 kg): Dosage is the same as for adults.
Treatment should not exceed 14 days. This preparation is not recommended for children under 12 years old or those weighing less than 40 kg.
Contraindications
It should not be used by individuals with a history of allergic reaction to antibiotics from the penicillin or cephalosporin groups. It is also contraindicated for those who have previously experienced liver problems or jaundice associated with its use.
Special Precautions
- Use cautiously in patients with impaired kidney or liver function.
- Care is needed if infectious mononucleosis is suspected, as a skin rash may occur.
- Periodic evaluation of blood cell counts may be advised during extended treatment.
Is it safe to take it with other medications?
Concurrent use may reduce the effectiveness of hormonal contraceptive methods, requiring alternative protection. Taking it alongside blood thinners may increase the risk of bleeding. Using it with certain gout medications may increase the likelihood of skin rashes.

Store the tablets in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep it away from excess heat and moisture to maintain its stability and effectiveness.
