Side Effects
PARAGESIC Paracetamol 125mg Rectal Suppository common side effects include: localized rectal irritation, skin rashes, and rare allergic reactions. Directions and Dosage
- Infants 6–12 months (7–10 kg): 1 suppository (125mg) every 4 to 6 hours. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours.
- Children 1–5 years (10–20 kg): 1 to 2 suppositories (125mg–250mg) every 4 to 6 hours. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours.
Not recommended for infants under 6 months without medical supervision. Maximum treatment duration: 3 to 5 days. Ensure the suppository is inserted high into the rectum for optimal absorption.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the excipients. Severe hepatic impairment or active liver disease. Recent history of rectal bleeding or inflammation (proctitis).
Special Precautions
- Use with caution in patients with impaired kidney or liver function.
- Ensure the total daily dose from all sources does not exceed the recommended limits to prevent toxicity.
Is it safe to take it with other medications?
