Indications / Uses

FLANAX FORTE Tablet is used for the relief of mild to moderate pain including muscle aches, backaches, menstrual cramps, headaches, and dental pain. It also reduces inflammation and swelling associated with conditions like arthritis, tendonitis, and bursitis.

Side Effects

FLANAX FORTE Tablet common side effects include: heartburn, nausea, stomach pain, dizziness, and headache. Less frequently, it may cause ringing in the ears, fluid retention, or skin rash. Discontinue use if severe reactions like breathing difficulties, chest pain, or signs of gastrointestinal bleeding occur.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults (18+ years): 1 tablet initially, followed by 1 tablet every 8-12 hours as needed. Do not exceed 2 tablets in 24 hours.
• Adolescents (12-17 years): ½ tablet every 8-12 hours as needed. Do not exceed 1.5 tablets in 24 hours.

Not recommended for children under 12 years. Maximum treatment duration: 10 days for pain or 3 days for fever unless directed otherwise.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to NSAIDs, history of asthma attacks or severe allergic reactions after taking aspirin/NSAIDs, active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding, severe heart failure, third trimester of pregnancy.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Not recommended during third trimester. Avoid during first and second trimesters unless potential benefit justifies risk. Excreted in breast milk - not recommended while breastfeeding.

Special Precautions

• Avoid alcohol consumption during treatment
• Use cautiously in patients with hypertension, kidney impairment, or heart conditions
• Discontinue at first sign of rash or allergic reaction
• Not recommended pre- or post-coronary artery bypass graft surgery

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

May interact with blood thinners, diuretics, lithium, or methotrexate. Avoid concurrent use with other NSAIDs. Consult healthcare provider before combining with blood pressure medications.

How should I store it?

Store below 30°C in original packaging. Keep container tightly closed and protect from light and moisture. Do not use if packaging is damaged.
