Description
Indications/Uses
Relief of mild to moderate pain eg, headache, dental pain, myalgia, pain associated w/ cancer, soft-tissue rheumatism, sprain, tendinitis, low back pain, dysmenorrhea, traumatic pain, postpartum pain & post-op pain.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >14 yr 500 mg followed by 250 mg 6 hrly.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take immediately after meals.
Contraindications
Active gastric or peptic ulceration, preexisting renal disease.
Special Precautions
Allergic disorders, coagulation defects; renal, cardiac or hepatic impairment, porphyria. Pregnancy & lactation. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
GI discomfort, nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, peptic ulcer, dizziness, nervousness, drowsiness, insomnia, blurred vision, eye irritation, renal impairment, urticaria, rash.
Drug Interactions
Protein-bound drugs eg, hydantoins, salicylates, sulfonamides & sulfonylureas; anticoagulants & thrombolytic agents; lithium; ACE inhibitors.
