Side Effects
DYLAX Bisacodyl 5mg common side effects include: abdominal discomfort, cramping, and nausea. Some users may experience diarrhea, vomiting, or localized irritation in the rectal area. Directions and Dosage

Not recommended for children under 6 years old. Maximum treatment duration: 7 days. Tablets should be swallowed whole and not crushed or chewed.
Contraindications
Intestinal obstruction, acute abdominal conditions including appendicitis or acute inflammatory bowel diseases, and severe abdominal pain associated with nausea and vomiting. It is also contraindicated in cases of severe dehydration and known hypersensitivity to the active component.
Special Precautions
- Avoid long-term daily use as it may lead to laxative dependence and impaired bowel function.
- Do not take within 1 hour of consuming antacids, milk, or dairy products to prevent premature dissolution of the coating.
- Maintain adequate fluid intake while using stimulant laxatives to prevent dehydration.
Is it safe to take it with other medications?
Concurrent use with diuretics or adreno-corticosteroids may increase the risk of electrolyte imbalance. Antacids and certain heart medications may interact with the enteric coating or affect absorption.
