SOLMUX ADVANCE Suspension is used for treating respiratory conditions with excessive mucus production such as acute bronchitis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It combines mucolytic action with immune support to reduce mucus viscosity and promote expectoration. This formulation helps ease productive coughing and supports bronchial clearance during respiratory infections in both children and adults.

Side Effects

SOLMUX ADVANCE Suspension common side effects include: gastrointestinal discomfort such as nausea, vomiting, or mild diarrhea. Less frequently, skin rash or headache may occur. These reactions are typically transient and resolve with continued use.

Directions and Dosage

• Children 2-5 years: 2.5mL (half the measuring cup) 3 times daily. Maximum: 7.5mL daily.
• Children 6-11 years: 5mL (one measuring cup) 3 times daily. Maximum: 15mL daily.
• Adolescents and adults (12+ years): 10mL (two measuring cups) 3 times daily. Maximum: 30mL daily.

Not recommended for children under 2. Treatment duration typically ranges from 5-10 days based on symptom improvement.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component. Active peptic ulcer disease. History of gastrointestinal hemorrhage requires special consideration.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Use only after careful risk-benefit assessment. Limited data available - consider potential effects on fetus or infant.

Is it safe to take it with other medications?
