MUCOSOLVAN 24HRS Ambroxol 75mg is used for secretolytic therapy in acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases. This includes conditions associated with abnormal mucus secretion and impaired mucus transport. As a potent mucolytic, it works by breaking down thick, sticky phlegm, making it less viscous and easier to cough up. This action helps to clear congestion and supports the body's natural clearance mechanisms in the airways.

Side Effects

MUCOSOLVAN 24HRS Ambroxol 75mg common side effects include: nausea, vomiting, and general gastrointestinal discomfort. Other reported effects may involve heartburn, dry mouth, altered sense of taste, or mild diarrhea. In rare instances, severe allergic reactions like skin rash, itching, or swelling of the face may occur, requiring immediate attention.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults and Kids (12+ years): 1 capsule once daily. Maximum daily dosage is 1 capsule (75 mg).

This prolonged-release capsule formulation is generally intended for individuals 12 years and older. Acute symptoms should not persist for more than 14 days without reassessment.

Contraindications

This product is generally not suitable for individuals who have a known hypersensitivity or history of allergic reaction to the primary component or any of the inactive ingredients in the formulation. Caution should also be observed in individuals who currently have a stomach or duodenal ulceration.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Use during the first trimester of pregnancy is not recommended. Following the 28th week of pregnancy, clinical experience suggests no harmful effects on the fetus. The active component is known to pass into the mother's milk, therefore use while nursing an infant is generally not advised.

Special Precautions

• Take caution if there is pre-existing impaired function of the kidneys or liver, as the component may accumulate in the body.
• Discontinue use immediately if any new skin or mucosal lesions (such as a rash) develop, as these can be signs of rare, severe cutaneous reactions.
• Caution should also be exercised in those with existing gastric or duodenal ulcers, as it may worsen the condition.

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

When taken concurrently with certain antibiotic types, the concentration of the antibiotic is increased in the bronchial secretions. Avoid co-administration with other antitussive medicines, as the liquefied mucus may not be properly cleared from the airways.

How should I store it?

Store the capsules in a dry place. Keep the product at a temperature that does not exceed 30°C and protect it from direct light exposure.
