4COUGH Carbocisteine Syrup for Kids is used for relieving respiratory conditions associated with excessive mucus, such as chronic bronchitis, asthma, and sinusitis. It helps thin and loosen phlegm in the airways, making coughing more productive and improving breathing comfort.

4COUGH Carbocisteine Syrup for Kids contains: Carbocisteine 125mg/5mL + Tutti-Fruitti flavoring.

Side Effects

4COUGH Carbocisteine Syrup for Kids common side effects include: mild gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, or diarrhea. Rarely, allergic reactions such as rash or itching may occur. Discontinue use if severe side effects like difficulty breathing or swelling develop.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults (18+ years): 15mL (3 teaspoonfuls) 3 times daily. Maximum daily dose: 45mL.
• Kids 5–12 years: 10mL (2 teaspoonfuls) 3 times daily. Maximum daily dose: 30mL.
• Kids 2–5 years: 5mL (1 teaspoonful) 3 times daily. Maximum daily dose: 15mL.

Not recommended for children under 2 years. Maximum treatment duration: 7 days unless advised otherwise.

Contraindications

Avoid use in cases of active peptic ulcer disease or hypersensitivity to mucolytic agents. Not recommended for individuals with a history of severe gastrointestinal bleeding.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Safety during pregnancy or breastfeeding has not been established. Use only under medical supervision.

Special Precautions

• Monitor for gastric irritation in patients with a history of stomach disorders.
