Indications / Uses

Jocet-10 Cetirizine 10mg is used for treating allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria. It relieves symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, itching eyes, and hives caused by allergens. This antihistamine provides 24-hour relief from seasonal allergies and skin reactions in adults and adolescents.

Formulation / Ingredients
Jocet-10 Cetirizine 10mg contains: Cetirizine dihydrochloride 10mg per film-coated tablet.

Side Effects

Jocet-10 Cetirizine 10mg common side effects include: drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, and fatigue. Less frequently, gastrointestinal discomfort or mild agitation may occur. Most reactions are mild and resolve without intervention.

Directions and Dosage

• Adults and Adolescents (12+ years): 1 tablet (10mg) once daily. Maximum daily dose: 10mg.
• Children 6-12 years: ½ tablet (5mg) twice daily or 1 tablet once daily. Maximum daily dose: 10mg.

Not recommended for children under 6 years. Maximum treatment duration: Continuous use requires medical evaluation after 4 weeks.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to components or hydroxyzine. Severe renal impairment requiring dialysis.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Excreted in breast milk – monitor infants for sedation. Use during pregnancy only if potential benefit justifies fetal risk.

Special Precautions

• Monitor closely in renal impairment or epilepsy
• May cause drowsiness affecting alertness
• Use cautiously with CNS depressants

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

May enhance sedation when combined with CNS depressants. Avoid concurrent use with theophylline. Always disclose current medications before administration.

Store below 30°C in original packaging. Protect from light and moisture. Keep blister strips sealed until use.
