Indications / Uses

Cetalert Cetirizine Drops for Baby is used for relieving allergy symptoms like watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes/nose, sneezing, hives, and skin itching. It effectively treats allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, and chronic idiopathic urticaria in infants and children.

Formulation / Ingredients
Cetalert Cetirizine Drops for Baby contains: Cetirizine dihydrochloride 2.5 mg per mL + Lemon flavor.

Side Effects

Cetalert Cetirizine Drops for Baby common side effects include drowsiness, headache, sore throat, stomach pain, and nausea. Less common but serious reactions may include breathing difficulties, severe allergic responses (swelling, rash), or urinary retention requiring immediate medical attention.

Directions and Dosage

• Infants 6 months to <12 months: 2.5 mg (1 mL) once daily.
• Children 1 to <2 years: 2.5 mg (1 mL) once or twice daily (every 12 hours). Maximum: 5 mg/day.
• Children 2–5 years: 2.5 mg (1 mL) twice daily or 5 mg (2 mL) once daily. Maximum: 5 mg/day.

Use only under medical supervision for children under 6 months. Administer with the provided dropper, with or without food. Do not exceed recommended daily doses.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to cetirizine, hydroxyzine, or any ingredient. Severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <10 mL/min).

• Reduce dose in renal/hepatic impairment.
• May cause drowsiness affecting alertness; avoid driving or machinery.
• Use cautiously in epilepsy or urinary retention risk factors.
