Alnix Syrup for Kids is used for relieving symptoms of allergic conditions such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, watery eyes, skin rashes, and hives. It effectively manages seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, allergic conjunctivitis, and chronic idiopathic urticaria in children.

Side Effects
Alnix Syrup for Kids common side effects include: drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, fatigue, stomach pain, or nausea. Rare but serious reactions may include rapid heart rate, difficulty urinating, or allergic reactions like swelling or rash. Discontinue use if severe symptoms occur.
Directions and Dosage
- Infants 6–12 months: 2.5mg (2.5mL) once daily.
- Kids 1–2 years: 2.5mg (2.5mL) once or twice daily.
- Kids 2–6 years: 5mg (5mL) once daily or 2.5mg (2.5mL) twice daily.
- Kids 6–12 years: 10mg (10mL) once daily or 5mg (5mL) twice daily.
Maximum daily dose: 10mg. Not recommended for infants under 6 months. Use only as directed.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to cetirizine or hydroxyzine. Severe kidney impairment. Avoid if previously experienced allergic reactions to antihistamines.
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation
Not recommended during pregnancy. Excreted in breast milk—avoid while breastfeeding.
Special Precautions
- Avoid alcohol or sedatives to prevent increased drowsiness.
- Use caution in patients with epilepsy, urinary retention, or liver/kidney disorders.
Is it safe to take it with other medications?
May interact with CNS depressants (e.g., sleep aids, anxiety medications). Avoid combining with alcohol. Inform your healthcare provider about all current medications.
