Allerkid Cetirizine Syrup for Kids is used for treating allergic rhinitis symptoms like sneezing, nasal congestion, and itchy eyes, as well as skin reactions such as hives and itching. It helps manage chronic urticaria and seasonal allergies in children.

Allerkid Cetirizine Syrup for Kids contains: Cetirizine Dihydrochloride 5mg per 5mL + grape flavoring agents.

Side Effects

Allerkid Cetirizine Syrup for Kids common side effects include: mild drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, or fatigue. Rare cases may involve agitation, dizziness, or gastrointestinal discomfort. Discontinue use if severe reactions like difficulty breathing occur.

Directions and Dosage

• Kids 2–6 years: 2.5mL (2.5mg) once daily.
• Kids 6–12 years: 5mL (5mg) once daily.
• Adults and adolescents 12+ years: 10mL (10mg) once daily.

Maximum daily dose: 10mg. Not recommended for children under 2 years. Duration of use should not exceed 4 weeks without medical advice.

Contraindications

Avoid use in patients with hypersensitivity to cetirizine or hydroxyzine. Contraindicated in severe renal impairment.

Use in Pregnancy and Lactation

Not recommended during pregnancy. Excreted in breast milk—avoid during lactation unless deemed essential.
