Nebulizer masks are particularly useful when it comes to giving medicines to children who may not be able to use the mouthpiece properly. Many people continue to use their masks even if they do not technically need them because the mask allows them to keep their hands free during treatment.
INSTRUCTION FOR USE:
- Place the prescribed medication into the nebulizer jar (max 6cc)
- Carefully snap the lid over the jar
- Connect one end of the supply tubing to the small stem at the bottom of the nebulizer
- Attach the nebulizer to the mask inlet
- Connect the remaining end of the supply tubing to the desired pressure source
- Set oxygen to 5-6 LPM and check for flow through the device. (The optimum amount of flow may vary between pressure sources.)
- Place the mask on the patients face with the elastic strap below the ears and the neck. Gently pull the ends of the strap until the mask is secure. Shape the metal strip on the mask to fit the nose
