Indications / Uses

MMFRED Mometasone Cream is used for the relief of inflammatory and itchy symptoms associated with skin conditions that respond to topical corticosteroids. This includes chronic skin diseases like psoriasis and atopic dermatitis (eczema) in adults and children. It works by reducing swelling, redness, and discomfort on the skin's surface caused by these dermatoses.

Formulation / Ingredients

MMFRED Mometasone Cream contains: Mometasone 1mg/g (0.1% w/w)

Side Effects

MMFRED Mometasone Cream common side effects include: local skin reactions such as mild to moderate burning, stinging, or itching at the application site. Prolonged use may lead to more visible effects like skin thinning, acne-like eruptions, or changes in skin color. Other infrequent reactions that have been reported are dryness, irritation, and inflammation around the mouth. If signs of irritation or a worsening condition appear, use of the product should be halted.

Directions and Dosage

• Dosage for Adults and Kids 2 years and older: Apply a thin film to the affected skin area once daily.

Treatment should not exceed 7 days for adults. Use for children over 2 years old should not exceed 5 days. Not recommended for children younger than 2 years of age. Maximum use should be limited to the duration recommended.

Contraindications

This product should not be used if there is a known sensitivity to the ingredient or any of its components. Avoid use on skin areas affected by conditions such as acne, rosacea, perioral dermatitis, and skin infections of bacterial, fungal, or viral origin. It is also not suitable for treating perianal or genital itching or diaper rash.

Special Precautions

• Avoid prolonged use, particularly on the face, skin folds, and under occlusive dressings.
• The application should be limited to the smallest area necessary to manage the condition.
• Avoid contact with the eyes and surrounding eye area.
• Discontinue use if signs of irritation or a superimposed infection develop.

Is it safe to take it with other medications?

Since this is a product applied directly to the skin, systemic drug interactions are generally considered unlikely due to minimal absorption into the bloodstream. However, simultaneous application of other topical preparations on the same area should be avoided as it may alter the absorption or effectiveness of both products.

How should I store it?

Keep this product stored at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Ensure the cap is tightly closed after each use to protect the cream from drying out and contamination.
