KATIALIS Ointment is used for treating bacterial skin infections including impetigo, folliculitis, and minor wound infections. It effectively targets common pathogens like Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes while reducing inflammation in affected areas. This topical formulation also addresses secondary infections in dermatological conditions such as eczema or minor burns where bacterial colonization is present.

KATIALIS Ointment contains: Mupirocin 20mg per gram + White Soft Paraffin Base.

Side Effects

KATIALIS Ointment common side effects include: localized burning, stinging, or itching at the application site. Directions and Dosage

  • Adults and Adolescents (12+ years): Apply thin layer to affected area 3 times daily. Cover treated area if directed.
  • Children (2-12 years): Apply small amount 2-3 times daily. Maximum treatment duration: 10 days.

Not recommended for infants under 2 years. Avoid use on large skin areas (>100 cm²). Maximum daily application frequency: 3 times.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component. Avoid application to eyes, nasal passages, or other mucosal surfaces. Not for use in deep puncture wounds or severe burns.
